A Little Sliver of Southern Charm

I have joked about this with you before. But I am completely serious now.

Here is the truth: it is hard for bees to survive the Catskill winters. Especially new colonies that have not had enough time to build up their hives to maximum capacity. And every year that our new hives die off in the winter, we have to start anew. Sigh.

The Bee-SA has 13 hives. They would like to get on a truck and move south for the winter. Do you have a little meadow in the sunny South where the winters are less harsh? Do you know someone who does? The bees promise to be the sweetest of guests. And, if need be, they can pay rent.

Let me know.
