On a small 1800s homestead farm, Andy and Polly Brennan began their cider orchard in 2006 with a mission to revive the Colonial cider tradition and to bring our area’s original table wine back. They produce 30 coveted barrels a year, adhering to a righteous approach that puts making really good, authentic cider over the demand for more. Named for one of our founding fathers from the NY area who lived in a time where the climate was right for cider, and a hard-working ethos prevailed.

There’s no tasting room at the farm, but I thought you’d want to know it was here. If you’re an enthusiast, you can join their CSA and score a visit. To get a taste, you can find it at area farmers markets and at Main Street Farm in Liv Manor, among other places. (See The Inside Scoop on cider.)
