The honey supers are going to come off this week. Thicker sugar syrup will go in to fatten up the hives for winter. Preparations are underway to feed the heck out of the bees this winter too. And we are adding a few new elements to help the bees stay dry and warm. So, yay!
According to the Catskill Mountain Honey Department of Weights and Measures, we are likely to have about the same amount of honey we had last year. If you already have a share or two and want to double up, you are invited to do so for $100 per share (50% off sale) and if you don't have one, but want one now you can join for $175 ($25 off the lower year 2 price). I know some of you wanted more... so Bee Happy and get another share. You can RSV-Bee to me here and we can sort it out later. Oh, and I will give any oversharers a honey dipper from Mexico as a bonus for helping the bees! (Gracias, Lor!)
Just to share a little extra bee excitement... I embarrass myself (and probably you) here with a little video that came to me in a dream. I am going to blame it on Halloween and the full moon.
