State Route 42 just South of the hamlet of Forestburgh, nestled in the fork between 42 and King Road (best access is from King Road)
Hidden for decades within the walls of an old farmhouse, this historic one-room schoolhouse was discovered during a renovation project. Traced to 1834 but believed to be active as a pioneer schoolhouse in the 1700s, caring townspeople protected this precious piece of history and moved it carefully to this location in 1987.
Hint: This is one of the 15 historical markers in the town of Forestburgh. Can you find the other 14?
