Sullivan County is rich with 15 towns and an endless supply of adorable Main Streets to explore, all connected by rolling hills, forests, rivers and lakes.

Sullivan is the closest Catskills county to New York City and is leading the charge in the Catskills’ renaissance. Together with Ulster, Delaware, and Greene counties, it is the heart of the Catskills. Start by getting lost here. You can’t go wrong.
Sullivan County has a ton of Catskills pride and even talks about its area as the Sullivan Catskills. Check out sullivancatskills.com and @sullivancatskills on Insta for some additional inspiration.
If you were on a game drive in Africa, you would want to check the Big Five off your list. Here, the Big Five are Narrowsburg, Liberty, Bethel, Livingston Manor and Roscoe. Check them out, but remember that good things also come in small packages. The hamlets with less can actually deliver more. Mix it up.
The table includes a rundown of all the towns, villages and hamlets in Sullivan County. Here, villages are in ALL CAPS. I will cover something in each town, but -- don't worry -- I will leave plenty for you to discover on your own.
