The Callicoon Center Band

The Bandstand

Near the corner of Gulf Road and Anamanda Lake Road

Callicoon Center, NY

Since 1934, the Callicoon Center Band has been playing at its open-air bandstand for 10 weeks each summer on Wednesday nights for one hour starting at 8 pm. Bring a blanket or a folding chair and settle in to hear patriotic ballads and tunes to get your toes tapping. It’s free.

The Callicoon Center Band is as interesting to watch as it is to listen to. The music transports you to another era and watching the percussion section — the cutups joking around in the back of the classroom — was hilarious. Totally worth it.
