The North Branch Inn lives by the motto, “the good ole’ days are now,” which is really credit to the fact that they revived this old inn, circa 1860s, and its two-lane U-Set-Em bowling alley. Now with three houses, the inn has 14 well-trimmed rooms, ours complete with an hourglass nap timer! Hid out here one weekend on a staycation, ate our fill of venison and duck, savored some deep red wine, bowled a few strikes, baked our toes by the wood stove and meandered down the road to get found getting lost. Too good!
Proprietors Kirsten and Sims Foster also own three other divine properties (Nine River Road, The Arnold House, and The DeBruce ... all in Sullivan County).
