You will find the name Tusten on a few businesses, but mostly Tusten is all about Narrowsburg. The first time I came to Narrowsburg, I couldn’t believe its riverside location, its quaintness, its cool stores, or its good food. I have no problem dragging friends here because when they arrive, they stand agape and never want to leave.
Other hamlets to explore when you can pull yourself away include Beaver Brook, Hunts Corner, Lava, Neweiden and Tusten.
Where do we go from here?
From Tusten you can get to the following spots directly, more or less. Tell your GPS or unwrinkle your map.
Cochecton: Find Henning's Local here, as well as NY's oldest train station.
Bethel: Woodstock history and modern day concerts await, as well as fun on White Lake and amazing pizza.
Highland: This is the smallest of all 15 towns in Sullivan County with some interesting Revolutionary War history. The hamlet of Barryville delivers good outdoor fun and the Stickett Inn.
